- Explain to students that pairs means one set of two things, such as socks, shoes, and gloves. Potential questions include: Have you ever had to count something in pairs? What are some things at home that you have two of that you need together? What are some things that you have seen that are pairs in our classroom?
- Explain that today the class will learn about skip counting by twos using clothespins.
